About Us

Our station is located in a quiet village in southern Cyprus, about 450 metres above sea level, between Limassol and Paphos.

The station is on private property and is also home to Alpha Radio Club, a small group of radio amateurs who enjoy DXing, contesting, and sharing their passion for radio.

Over the years, a lot of time, effort, and resources have gone into building and improving the station. Keeping everything running, maintaining antennas, and upgrading equipment is an ongoing job.

Together, we decided to open the station to visiting radio amateurs. This gives fellow hams a chance to enjoy operating from Cyprus, while the income from their stays helps us maintain and improve the station.

The club operates under the callsign 5B4ARA and uses P3CR for contesting. We also organize small club gatherings, take part in contests, and introduce young people to amateur radio.

We are not a big club, but we enjoy what we do and are always happy to welcome fellow radio amateurs.

Whether you enjoy casual DXing or serious contesting, the shack is ready for both. It has two radios, amplifiers, good antennas, and an SO2R setup for contesting.

The shack is right next to your accommodation, so you can operate whenever you like, day or night. No need to travel anywhere — just walk into the next room and get on the air!
